power of a brand/starting young

I was killing some time with my two year old son at the mall while my wife was shopping was a good time to do some window shopping at the local AD.

As I'm looking through the windows my son says "Daddy's tick tock" - pointing at a sub. Then he points to the sub on my wrist - "MY tick tock" ... guess even two year olds recognize the brand ... better start saving up for another one, the plan was always to give him the sub someday but not this early :)

I bought my son his first watch, which was a Swatch, at the age of 3. He loves wearing that watch everywhere and now he is 6 and has eyes on my Rolex.

Thanks for sharing.

My son, now 4, started to notice my watches around 1.5 years old. He had already been talking for about four months at that time, so I decided to teach him the names of some Rolex models. He knows them all now. When we were shopping for my birthday/Father's day present last year, he walked up to my contact at the AD and asked him: "do you have a GMT for my Daddy"?

That was priceless.
