Scrambled Vs Random
What's the difference? Presumably the year, my Explorer 2 16570 serial starts 69Y........ Is this random or scrambled? And what's the year? Thanks

Scrambled and random mean the same thing. They are the 6 digital models. You have a previous 5 digit model

The random serials are a mixture of letters numbers but a total of 8 digits,the last of the single letter G with 6 numbers started to appear a little later than the random the latter part of 2010.Now both these serials are being used right up to today,soon the will be millions upon millions of random serial watches.But G is the last of the single letter with 6 numbers,and all any serial could ever tell you is a approx date when the case or clasp was stamped and not when any Rolex was made.
