1st Post. GMTii At Long Last!!!!

Well I have been lurking here for a few years but never posted! Amongst others I currently have Breitling Super Avenger white dial, Panerai Luminor GMT and now after 20+years of wanting one I have finally decided to purchase the GMTii c/w Pepsi. Its weird going to the small size of the GMT compared to my others, but it is way more comfortable to wear than the Breitling for sure.
It is a 2003 and in excellent condition, no stretch on bracelet and not a mark on it anywhere. I am loving this watch and I cannot believe the accuracy of it! It was serviced when I bought it and it is currently running at -.6sec/day which I think is brilliant! and that is me playing with the regulation over night. I think once I fine tune the position of the watch it might be even better lol.
Anyway not the best photo of it, but the only one for now :-)

Excellent choice, my friend!

SEL's and lug holes are a [somewhat] rare treat and allows for easy strap/ bracelet changes, plus additional bezel inserts so you can take advantage of the most versatile Rolex ever made.

Thanks guys.
I actually went into the shop to buy a 1999 GMT Pepsi, however I noticed a small mark on the inside of the crystal which they said must have been left during the service, and it was probably a small piece of dust on the inside of the crystal. I told them I wasn't happy with it so they sent it back to their watch maker to clean it, the day I went to collect the watch I was sitting waiting on it being sent down from their workshop (10mins away from the shop) the girl serving me got a call whilst I was there. I knew from her face it was bad news watchmaker told her when pressure testing the watch the crystal had cracked! Now I know nothing about servicing watches but I would have thought this unlikely? unless he made a mess of fitting? either that or it was a lie and something else was indeed wrong with the crystal?
Anyway I said I was walking away from the watch as I was not prepared to wait on a new crystal being fitted (they did not have one in stock and said they would need to wait on it from Rolex).
They then offered me this lovely example of a GMT ii which if I am being honest was in better condition all round, the bracelet still has a stiffness to it and has no scratches or marks anywhere on it. Its like a brand new watch. Some I looked at had been polished to death, but no sign of this being polished :-) Oh and they honored the price I had haggled for the 1999 GMT
All in very happy with it.

However I have no idea how to go about removing the strap? I have however just bought a perlon strap so need to learn! Any tutorials on here??
Thanks

Cheers!

Lug Holes, SELs, and Superluminova.... All the best features rolled into one. I've just started collecting the various bezels now. What a great watch.
