RubberB or Everest

Do either of these brands make a strap that may fit on a 36mm datejust? Not sure of the lug width on either of them.

I find them ridiculously expensive for what they are. What sort of margin are we talking, 4,000 %? I could buy a nice Orient for that money.

My official Omega PO rubber strap cost me less than half at my local AD.

The look of the strap is completely subjective. Some prefer the look of Rubber B and others prefer the look of Everest. Personally, Everest wins by a mile when it comes to comfort, feel, and rubber quality. It's just a lot more supple and comfortable than the Rubber B strap.

I wrote a review comparing them a couple months back: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=419517

Right now, if you own a DeepSea Sea Dweller, Rubber B is the only game in town. I might be wrong, but I don't believe Everest has released a strap for it, yet. I have heard it's in the pipeline..

Thanks man! Did you compare the Rubber B to the new tang buckle Everest? Or was it the older deployment style. Either way, you are right. Everything is really subjective lol. I just really liked how Everest was supple right off the bat and angle it connected to the case made for a really nice fit on my wrist.

your write up was really clear why u like everest and i understood your point right away.

i think of it kind of like the padded leather (breitling like) straps which are stiff at first versus supple soft leather straps which are comfortable first time they are on your wrist.

I prefer the RubberB just based on looks alone. As I've never owned either one I can't say which is more comfortable.

Currently Everest makes no straps specifically for Datejust. However, I've been told by one of their reps they are working on it and plan to have a Datejust strap line released by end of December.

I prefer the look of the Rubber B, but the comfort of the Everest... Probably not helping you decide!
