Here are photos of my old daytona on croc strap. Also as mentionedthe watch was extremely heavy, for something on a strap.

i will post better pics later :) and i will also take an acid test on bracelet and watch to check if the gold is real :) if it is, then it´s not a fake :)

Dan, I for my part cannot tell whether it's real or not from those pics. Only thing I noticed is that the watch has "Skinny Hands" (not the fat ones of today, like on the WG Daytona you once owned.
As previously suggested, take it to an AD and have him inspect the movement. Best of luck with this! Quote:

Does it have the gold assay markings? What about original papers?
Take macro pics in natural light of the lug backs as well as the dial, pushers, strap and deployment.

it´s confirmed :) it´s real. or else the entire watch and deployment clasp etc is in gold and the rest fake. :)

The dial really looked spot on in all the photos so it's a big relief to read that it is a genuine watch, just a bit "loved".
