Here are photos of my old daytona on croc strap. Also as mentionedthe watch was extremely heavy, for something on a strap.

Dan, I for my part cannot tell whether it's real or not from those pics. Only thing I noticed is that the watch has "Skinny Hands" (not the fat ones of today, like on the WG Daytona you once owned.

As previously suggested, take it to an AD and have him inspect the movement.

Best of luck with this!

You have a valid point there, Terry!

Not necessarily. As suggested a few times, open it up.

Does it have the gold assay markings? What about original papers?

Take macro pics in natural light of the lug backs as well as the dial, pushers, strap and deployment.

Seems like the watch does have "hallmarks". But those can be faked, too.

WatchOut section??

I would not buy a questionable 12k watch without having a AD open it.

I am hoping that you are correct and that this is an OK buy. Please let us know when it gets verified by an authorized dealer.

The dial really looked spot on in all the photos so it's a big relief to read that it is a genuine watch, just a bit "loved".
