Where can I find a band like this?

I know Nato has been covered but I'm looking for this type of band

Also, how can I remove my current one- I have an M series Explorer II without the screws on the sides.

To get a band like that you need to be one hell of a guitar player. That way the best bass players, drummers, and keyboard players will chew thru a brickwall just to be seen on stage with you.

Sorry, feeling like a smarta$$ today.
Don't know were to get that style leather band but seems like I've seen them worn before with other vintage Daytona's.
I'm sure our experts will come forward with the right info.
Good luck and don't forget pics when you get it,

Jigga,

see this thread.

Specifically, post # 6 by Jake with a link to where he bought his strap:

I attatched some images of John Mayer's band so you can see. It appears that the brand is called Neighborhood or something.

May head shops and most leather goods dealers carry a wide range of leather watch straps..

In the 60's and 70's they were on every street corner and 7-Elevens even had them hanging by the cash register..

I don't think they come with the Daytona however......

Thanks!
That only comes in 18mm would that be ok for the Explorer?
Also, any idea how to remove the steel bracelet?

No, you need a band with a 20 mm width at the end that you attach onto the case.

BTW.: as Jake states in the thread I linked to, the strap you're looking for has the brand name "Neigborhood" stamped on the inside. Maybe you can find the supplier by googling "Neighborhood" + "watch band / strap".

Removing the bracelet on your Explorer depends on the age of your Explorer (whether it's a lug holes case and a non solid endlink bracelet ("SEL"), OR one without lug holes in the case and a SEL on the bracelet).

Here is a tutorial on how to remove the bracelet if it has SEL's and the case has no holes in the lugs:

Bracelet removal.

If your Explorer has lug holes, simply take a pin remover and insert it in the lug holes in the case to release the spring bar of the endlinks.

That's what Eric's been saying ever since '68 at The Royal Albert Hall

Thanks-
Unfortunately anything with "Neighborhood Watch" in a search comes up with community websites!

Aw, shucks!

Well, best of luck, anyway!

I hope the strap turns up in your neighborhood soon!
