New Movement for BB ?

Just wondering if anybody thinks the BB will in the future feature a new in-house movement ala the new Pelegos movement?

I suspect it would fit--perhaps with a slightly deeper case back. I'm just not sure Tudor has the capacity to produce that many movements right now. Also, who knows how much of the movement is actually produced by Tudor. For example, the hairspring, main spring, and escapement might be sourced-out to another supplier, which is comon among manufacturers. So, even if Tudor could produce the movements, they might not have all the parts.

Aside from capacity, Tudor might not want to mess with the price. After all, the watches are selling very well now with ETA movements. Why rock the boat...until 2020, at least? I agree, though: I would love a BB with the new movement.

I would love to see this... however I feel it would canibalize sales from the SubC.

The Black Bay doesn't need to be anywhere close to a Sub IMHO. It is a completely different animal and I think it is exceptional at the price point.

I really wouldn't care for an in house movement as the one on my wrist is running exceptionally well at +/- 2 a day.

Good question isn't it? I for one, ever since the Breitling debacle, have serious doubts when a watch company comes out of nowhere with an "in house" movement.
