As much as I love the old school watches I have to choose the newer ones as they are just superior to the old models.

I think the anniversary sub and sdC is the perfect combo. Best of both worlds and scratches both itches. I kinda did the same thing with the 16710 and the sdC. Love having both old and new world options!

Option 1 no question, even though I agree with everyone that Glidelock is superior (it just is).

All things considered;
I'd pick the 16610LV anniversary Sub with the 116600 SD 4000.

16610LV, no doubt. Tougher on the Dweller. If wrist is big, go with new one. If wrist is under 7", go 16600. Or if you have good taste, go ... scratch that ;-)

The glide lock and more adjustable bracelet (with fewer permanent links) swing it for me...although I do have a soft spot for the original LV, especially the early ones with the lime green bezel. Yummy.

A little late to the game here as I've been travelling but definitely option 2 for me.
Both new models are fantastic pieces and all of the modern improvements are too good to look beyond in my opinion.
