Dilemma - need help with a decision for my next purchase
Okay guys, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need your help on what you would do. I currently own a SD4K but need to have a GMT back in the mix. I've since sold my 116710LN and miss having the 4th hand.
So I can go one of two ways. Would you: 1) Keep the SD4K and add a 16710 to the mix. Pros: Best modern stainless Rolex in my opinion in the SD4K. And I get the bezel interchangeability of the 16710 so I get 3 looks in one. Cons: I have smaller wrists so the old bracelets don't fit well. I mostly likely would have to remove a permanent link on the 6 o'clock side for the perfect fit. 2) Sell the SD4K and pick up a 114060 and BLNR. Pros: I get both ceramic models, which I consider a plus. I can also swap the bracelet off of the 114060 when I wear the BLNR. New bracelets fit like a charm. Cons: I would miss the date feature as I'm in the date camp. As much as I love the BLNR, I'd only get one color combo. I'm expecting our first child so my wife is capping my next watch purchase and both options are around the same price. Let me know what you guys would do. Thanks!

I know you didn't propose this, but if you can swing it, keep the SDc and add the BLNR. That would be a great pair! And most importantly, congrats in advance on the soon-to-be new addition to the family!

I would probably do option one. I personally love the 16710. My question is why are you sticking to the sub style platform.

I'd get the sub no date and blnr.

For a little more, you can get into a modern ExII on the secondary market over the 16710. More different look with the SD4k and a modern bracelet. The black wears smaller than the white... I have small wrists too.

I also have a sd4k and recently flipped my 116710 for a 16710 Pepsi. I have small wrists too (6.5) and the 16710 fits perfectly. Love it.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I love the Explorer II but I've always had a thing for the GMT growing up. Maybe because I've always wanted to be a PanAm pilot, haha.
And thanks for the well wishes, guys. Hope to have the new addition on the wrist holding my new addition!

16710 - you can always try it with a nato or leather for wrist comfort and a change of look

I would get a 16710 and source/add the 2 other bezel inserts. Most versatile watch Rolex has ever produced.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Really appreciate it! I decided I'm going to keep my SD4K as I love it too much. I was temporarily blinded by my infatuation with the BLNR. Hopefully I can pick up the BLNR in the near future, but to hold me over, I picked up a 16570 Polar. I must say, really really loving it! Thanks again guys!
