unless you will be wearing both watches at once it does not really matter how diverse your collection is as most people will only see one of your watches at a time

I have a BLNR and a Sub C no date. They wear and look different enough that I don't think of giving up either one.

I went from owning these three to these two! You really cannot go wrong, even if they are similar. IMO the BLNR is different enough from any modern rolex to fit into any collection.

I wouldn't want the LN (black) version of both but if some color is mixed in then it's all good.

Can't wait to find out which way you go!
That reply was a big help...

I would say that if you have a two watch collection, they may be too similar. However if you are adding to an already well diversified collection, I could see having both.

From ten yards away, the Sub and GMT will look identical. They wear very similar but the Sub has the Glidelock.
As for Exp II v BLNR, it's down to personal taste and which one sings to you. The BLNR is much better looking and has the ceramic bezel, which rotates. The Explorer bezel is stainless steel, fixed and is prone to scratching but doesn't have the PCLs of the BLNR, which are scratch magnets. As for which to buy, if I were you I'd sit on my wallet and buy nothing for a few months at least. In the past few weeks you've gone from a Daytona, to a toss-up between Daytona and Omega GSOTM and now you're canvassing opinions between an Explorer II and BLNR. Take some time out and decide what you really want otherwise you're in danger of peeing an awful lot of money up the wall on something that might be a regrettable and expensive impulse purchase. If your money is setting fire to your pocket and you absolutely have to spend it, go for the Daytona or BLNR. If you do end up with buyer's remorse, at least you'll recover the vast majority of your outlay. However, if you're mind is made up and you have thought this through properly, then LV and BLNR are the way to go*. Not that I'm biased....... *Yes, I know, the Sub has stopped but my D-Blue is hogging my wrist at the moment
