What will new Ceramic SS Daytona Look Like?

Hi guys, I'm curious about the new SS and ceramic Daytona that will release in a year or two.

Are there any photoshops or something like that?

We don't know for sure if that watch will be released. We can hope and pray though!

Matt is right - no one except Rolex knows for sure whether there will be a stainless steel ceramic bezel Daytona.

But we can hope!

There is a mock-up (of a Zenith Daytona for some reason) somewhere in an old thread around here.

I think that's being pretty hopeful. Looks great, but I'm guessing the same as the current lineup with the only change being the bezel. And only in 2 tone. The SS should remain the same.

I'm really hoping it'd be the 50th anniversary model

Either one of these will do...

Can't wait

The photos are very nice. I prefer the first one.

Rolex must release that model, otherwise it will be very unfair to SS lovers and they will lose more customers than ever. They already have increased prices several times without producing something different than other watches with similar prices.

If they do not produce coke and pepsi bezel Gmts as well as SS ceramic bezel Daytona, then most people will prefer other alternative watches like I do.

Thanks again for the ideas. We will wait and see later in 2012 whether they make TT series. If TT comes I am assuming that SS will probably come.

A black ceramic bezel Daytona around a white dial would be killer. That watch would sell like crazy.

I can't even imagine how hard it would be to find a SS version of this (if it were to get released).

Wow

The only problem is that, based on red gold/ceramic Daytonas and the history of ceramic with Rolex; a SS ceramic daytona will wasily be in the $15,000-$18,000us list price range. I agree that it would look nice, but if I am close to the price issue, my answer will be the same as with the RG Daytona/ceramic: beautiful watch but I am not paying that premium for ceramic. Sorry.

The second one looks stunning! I hope Rolex will have the courage to spice up the SS Daytona-C with some colours.

Very much like the Daytona now only difference a small slither of ceramic instead of steel.

50th Anniversary Daytona

Just came back from AD. We spoke of the 50th Anniversary Daytona. AD advised new Daytona would be 42mm and have a green ceramic bezel. MSRP to be around $18k...this is what he told me at least...

I can see that price happening if it is a limited or 1 year only type model, but if they are going to switch to ceramic, a 6K jump for the bezel will just push people towards the non-ceramic or up a few $$ into gold ... Rolex is able to "do whatever they want" but it has to make business sense ... they cannot price an everyday SS watch above TT and expect to sell a lot.

Umm...Rolex does not have to be fair.

Or as much as I'm not a fan of DLC or similair refinishing methods surely for a similair look one could get hold of a replacement SS Daytona bezel and get it refinished be it DLC or PVD etc and get the same look for a fraction of the cost !

No ?

I came very close to buying the WG panda dial Daytona earlier this year but it didn't just quite sing enough to me....... And no date but that's another issue

But the look with the ceramic bezel and panda dial combo would have me scurrying straight to an AD

I personally want it to be black and white. Don't really care for the color but a little color would be ok.
