Mine is exactly the same way! It is from the inside of the clasp rubbing the inside of the bracelet. Personally, I wouldn't polish or re brush this area, as it will likely continue to happen. Enjoy your sub!

That is normal wear..

Do you lay the watch 'flat' when you are not wearing it? Probably the bracelet links and clasp rubbing against each other while you lay it down and pick up up. If you use a winder the cushion will prevent this. If you don't use a winder you could still put a winder pillow in there. I have a 30 year old DJ that has a lot more wear there than this.
