Double Tudor week

Something 'new'

spectacular vintage vibes

hat tip to my mates over at DWC for their flipperitis
-------------------------------------------------------
something 'newer'...like...dude took it from the AD and put it FS right away new...

--------------------------------------------------------

The Black Bay is quite interesting...reasonably thick..and the slab case side may turn folks off...but boy..
the gilt dial..the domed crystal..its a beauty indeed. The flat caseback actually makes it a better watch on a nato or a leather strap imo...the height and weight makes it dig into the wrist

The Pelagos...this one's a modern stunner

look at the clasp

look at the lines

i much prefer Gen 1's look with the 2 line and the marker at 3

So...how do they compare to the sub? :)

first..they make the Sub looks positively tiny...maxi lugs and all
secondly...it once again proves the enduring influences of the Sub..how well made and designed it is.
They CAN all be in a collection.

Enjoy!

The proportions of the BBB are so much better than the Sub C IMO. I wore my rarely-worn BLNR for the past four days straight (first time I've worn it more than one consecutive day) after wearing the BBB for almost three weeks nonstop. The BLNR is a great watch but I still struggle with the boxy proportions. I'm wearing a Milgauss blue for the first time this morning, and the case proportions are just perfect to my eye. Tudor hit it out of the park with the BBB, but I'm curious as to why the black bezel seems to have caused the popularity to explode as it seems to have.

I couldn't agree more...this is why I've never considered a SubC for my collection.
