ATTENTION: South Florida dealers / buyers ...

I was just made aware of a situation involving a scam artist in south Florida.

The scammer is described as a white female in her early 30's. long straight dark hair, tanned complextion, dark features, 5'0, 120lbs, accent Possibly middle eastern, said she was married with 3 children oldest being 9. Phone number was disconnected but registered in Miami. Furnished a phone number with a 786 area code. The police have the full number and are investigating.

Used the "Caroline Smith," and says she fundraises for her church.

Illegally took custody of a BNIB 2 tone datejust II - with ivory index dial.

I believe that she will attempt to sell the watch at a discounted price below the $11,650 retail price for quick cash.

Any info is appreciated here or via PM.

Why not post the serial number here? That would be the smart thing to do, I would have thought.

Let me know when the watch is found and I'll delete the number from your post, but for now I think it's best to show it.

I hope you, or the owner, get it back.

Hi 77T, I didn't personally see the watch but based on the receipt description, that would appear to be what it looks like.

I'll send the picture to the victim of this theft and try to confirm.

Thank you!

I posted a pic of an ivory dialed DJII in the spirit of helping put an image to the report.

If TRF'ers saw a similar one in an online ad it could generate a helpful lead.

The thief is unlikely to post a serial number in a Craigslist or other online posting - so it was an idea to help put a face on the missing watch.

Much like they show pictures of similar vehicles when a BOLO alert goes out. This helps put a picture to a physical description.

Ah ha, got it.......I understand now. I was thinking that possibly you ran across this one for sale and were gonna go back and try to take it.

Thank you again.

The victim of this theft advised this is what the watch looked like.
