Well I've owned two models with similar qualities...
- Explorer II (polar dial) - GMT Master 1 (Pepsi Bezel) And damn am I proud to own these two! IMO, I could not have better watches to ignite my passion for Rolex watches. The next should be the Sub as the legendary Sub cannot be ignored.

This website has really re-triggered my decades long passion for Rolex.
As a teenager in the early 1970's, I caught the bug for these watches. I was the only one I knew who even cared about watches. I've had an interest in Rolex that went beyond normal...my wife many times expressed concern for my "hobby." With this recent thread, I brought out my collection of over 16 watches. It has been years since they were all assembled. With each one, I relived the purchasing situation or the opening of a gift watch or a special moment of wearing. I also marveled at the beauty, quality and timeless design represented. From my first basic gold plated date to my recent S/G GMTII-C, one thing is certain. They will all last much longer than me. THANKS TO TRF FOR RE-KINDLING MY PASSION. |
