Icon5 Daytona polishing question

Has anyone here ever polished their Daytona bezel with a cape code cloth? I'm wondering how one would do this without polishing away the black inlaid number / marker paint.

If you don't rub too hard or too often it would work just fine... (or you might go blind)

The numbers are deep enough that you would have to rub pretty hard to get down inside the etching...

NEVER use Cape Cod on brushed surfaces.

Here is more info about Cape Cod and how to use it.

And here is another tutorial, albeit in German. But the pics in the tutorial are nice since you see the brushed parts of the bracelet having been taped up before applying Cape Cod to the polished centre links. Using tape is a good trick.

just pay $150 to have your AD polish it every year or so and you won't have to worry about anything....
