Inquiry about a limited edition rolex

Hey guys, i cam across this limited edition rolex

Day Date 2
platinum
diamond roman numerals

the interesting part was that it had a harrods stamp on the back
giving it a limited edition prestige.

does anyone have any information about this watch?
like how many where made and how much it would be worth?

thanks

Why would a Harrods stamp make it a limited edition?

Even if its was a limited edition which I doubt watches like the DD are not thought of as being collectible in any way so value whatever someone was willing to pay.The only real limited additions I can recollect is only a few one being a quite recent limited to 300 only was a TOG for Japan market only.Again the other was the vintage Space-dweller again Asian market only. Rolex has made a few limited additions over the years a few commemorated ones like the Panama canal watches. But Rolex is in the market to sell vast numbers of watches around 800000- 900000 a year. And say with watches like the 16610LV some say these were a limited edition, but possibly many hundred thousand units is hardly limited or rare or limited. To call something limited, around 300 or less would be classed as limited in my book .

When a watch has a production number engraved by Rolex I call it a Limited edition.

Not sure but it may be something that Harrod's had done and not Rolex.

That's not limited edition by the looks of it. That's something Harrods did on their own. It reduces value if you ask me.
It would be no different then if I purchased a watch and engraved, "Super Grand Limited Edition Super Premium Sweatshop Edition for Retailslaves Only. #1 of 1.
All kidding aside, I assume it's a boutique release or maybe an employee retirement gift of sorts. Similar to the dominos pizza rolexes for example.

People will believe what they want to believe. Regardless, it's a fantastic watch.

I've known a few people who worked at Harrods over the years and they always received known brands as gifts that were personalised by Harrods. I would suggest that watch is something like that.
