I'm trying to keep the collection smaller, and this mentality dictates that if a piece is not worn, it has to go. The one exception is my grandad's watch - my most precious piece - for sentimental reasons - and one that isn't going anywhere, ever.

I think one of the main sources of pleasure in this hobby is trying out the watches we think are keepers, and finding out if that is really true. I've concluded that you can't really tell you love a watch until having worn it for a while. Trying it on just isn't enough for me. This has led to some sales, flips and a little loss in the process, but I have greatly enjoyed the journey so far.

I keep a log of which watches I wear to ensure I wear them all. Funny, but it works.

Unless it has sentimental value, typically would flip to get something else.

If I haven't worn it in 90 days, I'd say it's time to set it free to find a more loving home
