My brothers turn-o-graph
Been trying to help my brother figure out if he has a diamond in the rough - purchased from an AD years ago - so factory diamond dial - I've not really been able to find any like it. I've told him to keep it - what's the verdict?

It's the old style Thunderbird turnograph with oyster bracelet. I have SS DJ with WG Thunderbird bezel and silver stick dial and jubilee bracelet bought new in the mid 1990s. Have since greatly expanded my collection but still wear this every day. Love it.

thanks for the replies, I'm trying to figure out if the combination black factory diamond dial, two tone oyster with turn o graph was a unique combination or run of the mill. I am thinking pretty unique as I haven't been able to find another example on line quite the same.

Not everyone loves the diamonds on dials, but it does looks nice. Would suggest to keep it, service if have not done it in several years.

This is my first Rolex. A gift from my late mother. We got it in the late 90's. No diamonds and it's on a jubilee bracelet. I didn't know the combo your brother has was available back then.

I told him to keep it and if he insisted on selling that I would just buy it for 25% less than what the average price between Jomashop, Chrono24 and Bobs watches was. I figure with them being discontinued, who knows what the future collectibility brings - I told him to get it serviced and I gave it a nice washing for him as it was obvious he hadn't done that in a while.
