GMT's and Rubber B's

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a rubber b strap for my gmt ceramic 116710lv. I'm eyeing the VulChromatic model with the green stripe. I'm wondering if I can pull off wearing it with a suit to work once and a while. I don't want to be constantly switching the bracelet and strap out. Anyone have a similar combo and can vouch for the dressiness of the rubber b?

Im presuming you mean the GMT 116710LN. If so I had it on that rubber b. It's a great combo, compliment each other very well, and super comfortable. Rubber b straps are great quality. I have flipped mine now, but have a rubber b on its way for my exp II. Here's an old pic

Yes. LN. My iPhone was working against me. Thanks for the pics. I was thinking tang buckle. Any thoughts on using your clasp?

I prefer the rubber b with the original clasp over the tang buckle personally. I feel that it looks and feels better and makes the watch feel complete like being on an oyster.

Rubber straps are dive/workout/casual watch swag. Not dressy. Just the opposite, actually. Purpose-built to resist wet/humid conditions without rotting (like leather) or stinking/staining (like synthetic fabrics). Oh, and also cheap to manufacture and be easily replaced instead of repaired (vs. metal bracelet).

Does that mean "luxury" sneakers are now magically considered dress shoes?

If so, then it's probably best to just dump the entire notion of "dress" vs. "casual" anything along with "taste", "style". Basing something's appropriateness purely on how much money is spent defeats the entire purpose of having any standards.

Here is my set up.....RUbber B on my 16710. This works perfect for me on vacation and during summer months. Have not tried it on my BLNR yet but I suspect it will work nicely.
This will be the watch and band of choice when I head to Jamaica in 2 weeks....except insert will be coke instead of all black......Cheers! I am a fan of the Rubber B bands.
