I just don't like the big GMT hand so I voted Smurf. What I'd really like is the BLRO without the GMT hand.

I feel like I should put a disclaimer up before I post. I've never been a fan of precious metals being used for traditional "tool" watches. To use 18k WG/RG on a Submariner seems weird TO ME. Ive also always never really liked the PCL on the 1167XX series watches. I personally, would not buy either of them.
With that being said, if I had to choose between the two, I would pick the BLRO. Simply because when the GMT Master originally came out, it was a Red/Blue bezel. Call me old fashioned, but to me, you can't lose to a modern homage to a timeless classic. |

Been a bit back and forth on the two, but for my lifestyle and the amount of travel I do I need the GMT more than the depth rating and like the "classic" look of the BLRO.
It will likely be my first PM watch - if I'm lucky!

I would choose the Smurf. There's something about the tones of the BLRO that doesn't appeal to me.
