With the help of other users here I found an AD which had a BLNR, a SudC Date and a Daytona in stock. Very pleased that I now had an opportunity to try them on, although now I'm more confused than ever.
I think Daytona looks pretty good but the SubC Date and GMT are a bit on the large side. What do you guys think? My wrist is about 6" and pretty flat, just to inform others that may be troubled by the same thing. Other pics to follow. |

Then take the rest of the day off, and daydream about what you see on your wrist. Sleep on it, then make your decision. Think about whatever comes to mind, as those are your instincts coming to the fore. If it feels too expensive, small, ornate, whatever, it will surface during your daydreaming about it. Most of all, enjoy the process. It's part of the fun. Me, I knew what I wanted for a dozen years before I got my first. Now ten years later, I'm going to do the above process to pick my second (I need two heirloom watches, one for each son). |

Well...not to be the dissenting opinion, but...
It sounds like you don't know what you really want yet...and in my experience buying before you do would be a mistake. The availability (or non-availability) of the models you're looking at is of secondary concern. Focus in on what it is you need and want...take your time and enjoy the hunt. |

Not exactly. I wanted SubC Date, then came the lust for GMT II BLNR but now I'm worried that neither will fit on my small wrist. Any opinion on that would be much appreciated.

They all look great on your wrist. I second the opinion to not let availability influence you. Trust your gut and pick the one that will make you smile the most.
I just added a BLNR after waiting and could not be more happy. After seeing one in the flesh I knew it was the one. IMHO if you're looking for one watch to do it all I would suggest that or a white dial Daytona. |

They all look great. Choose quick though, they sell them quick. This AD has them in stock once a month. Did you try on the Polar exp2? (They have one in stock but it is reserved. Might know who to... :) )

All 3 watches can fit your wrist well from the picture shown. But I vote for the BLNR, which has the best looking and more functions for you.

If I had your wrist size, I'd go with the Subc date as my one and only Rolex.

Find a clean 14060M and don't look back! If you need the date look at your phone.

All three look great on your wrist and not oversized at all. Personally, I think the BLNR looks particularly good on your wrist (and that's coming from someone who loves Subs!).
Good luck in choosing! Any of those three would be a fantastic choice |

Here's my personal preference from most favourite, Daytona, GMT, Sub. But if this is going to be your only Rolex for some time, I'd pick the Sub.

Out of the three choices, if it were me and finances allowed it, I'd go for the Daytona (white dial if possible)

All of them look fine. The BLNR is probably the most versatile sport Rolex.
For me, the Daytona wears a bit too small. It's a classic no doubt, but I see it as a piece you add to a collection. There is nothing wrong with the Submariner Date but everyone has one. Heck, it was my first Rolex. |

Avoid the Sub maxi case.
The GMT BLNR has thinner lugs and you can tell it easily, fits my small wrist better. I am getting SDc to replace my SubC. It looks much small on and I have worn a Breitling Superocean 42mm for ten years that is 15mm thick so not worried about the SDc as I like the presence. |
