Name on Warranty Card

I have a pre-owned BLNR. It has the original owners name address on warrenty card. Should i be concerned if i were to send this for service should the need arise, especially during that time its under warranty - thru dec 2017. Obviously i would let them know i was current owner. Somewhat concerned it getting sent back the owners address.

Also, is there any benefit to send it out for service through an AD or directly to and RSC. Does the AD get a better turn around?

It is the watch that is warrantied, not the name on the card.. They send the watch to whoever is invoiced, not an address they find in the box.

As to sending it to RSC, if you use the AD then Rolex only deals with the AD and you do not get the estimate and recommendations. It is sent to the AD who may make decisions for you.

If you send it yourself then you get that estimate and make those decisions.

Some folks are more comfortable that their Dealer takes care of everything for them - it's a personal choice.

Not if you sent them (RSC) the actual card. If you choose to send a copy of the card you must send copies of both front and back and also a copy of the bill of sale. I always include the actual card. Never had any issues and the card was always returned with the watch.

As stated above, the warranty follows the watch.

I've shipped the watch myself all three times I've sent one in. All you have to do is call Rolex, give them you're email and they'll email you instructions and the paperwork to send the watch in.

So if/when service is done, do they put my name address on the new warranty card issued after service?

If you send it in for warranty work, no.

If you send it in for a scheduled service, and pay for it, yes.

If you send it in for paid service you don't need to include the old card.
