The amazing toddler conversations
My daughter is at an amazing stage (she'll be 3 in June). We have some unbelievably fun conversations because she's not only really smart, but also because she's relying on me (and her mum) to teach her about the world, so it makes you see the world through the eyes of a child. Lotsa fun!
Just this weekend we had this conversation: Me: C, where does your food go? C: in my mouth Me: and then where? C: then it goes in my throat Me: and then where does your food go? C: in my tummy Me: do you know what happens to it in your tummy? C: (looks puzzled) Me: when your food is in your tummy, it turns into energy that makes you go and then what your body doesn't need gets turned into poops. C: No it doesn't Me: yes, food goes in your belly and turns into poops. C: (smiling thinking I'm kidding) you're silly daddy. Me: Really C, food turns into poops C: LOL food turns into poops. Now when I change her diaper, she says 'daddy, I need my bum changed cuz my food turned into poops.' |

You have to love the "honesty" of what kids say.

I said that to my wife once, after being drunk for four days straight, and she didn't think it was funny or cute

Out of the mouths of babes, enjoy them now mate, for some reason when they get to around 12-13. A very strange thing happens, but will not bore you with the details,as you have all that to come.

While the terrible twos can be insane, they're easily balanced by these amazing converstions and the hilarious comments that come out of her mouth. |

Hi Johnny,
Charlotte is at a tender age where she'll pick up things very quick and retain them. It's also an age when she will ask all kinds of funny questions, but wait another year and see how much more she will talk and listen. These are a child's fun years....enjoy them to the fullest, my friend. JJ
