New Explorer - Rolex is ON FIRE!!!

This is the best Basel from them since I've started following watches. The new Explorer just shown on Hodinkee fixes the short hands I always hated. New, ceramic SS Daytona, PVD'd BB. Nicely done!!!

Yes, this year is a lot better than last year. Last year I was like "meh".

I wasn't blown away by any piece.

Other than the Air King, which I do not like.

The Daytonas look cool, but look less expensive as they use to.

I do really like the blue face Daytona though!

One can never really tell from the photos on the Rolex site since they seem sometimes to be doctored, but the lume looks to be a deeper blue than the Super luminova that came out across the range about three years ago.

Anyone shed some "light" on this?

I've read a lot of people complaining that the Explorer isn't really new... They have a point but I'm glad Rolex finally fixed their screw up.

Agreed.

The last time the Explorer was "new" was back in 2001 when they fitted the 3130 movement.
