How Long To Wait For 2016 Rolex(s)?

Afternoon all! Any updates from users on how long they need to wait for AD to get the new models in stock? I'm traveling to the UK soon and was curious if I could pick one up on my travels.

Thoughts?

P.S. Rang my local Rolex Boutique Store - Agent had NO idea about the new models!

Usually around August for the US judging by prior years.
Typically a little sooner over seas.

Thanks. Just rang another AD and they mentioned the same! Still feels like a long way away!

Until then there's still lots of great watches to acquire.

When it is in a showcase I pay attention.

Until then, anyone can make announcements.

The Sea Dweller announced at Basel in 2014 (which I think was later than Basel this year) was on my wrist on 2nd May. This was in the UK but I can't remember how much later it arrived elsewhere, but I don't think it was long.

So hopefully it will be quicker than you fear...

I also suspect that they can't afford to hang around for too long as it is replacing the old model, and that leaves them open to lost sales (people not wanting to buy the old model, but in the mood to buy now). I could be wrong and I'm sure others with more experience will add more value than me here, it just feels like sound commercial logic.

My 2 cents: after the changes we are experiencing with the new CEO (new designs, the surprise release of black bay black) I would not be surprised if product arrives to AD's sooner.

I agree with token and G but I'll admit it's because they are preaching to the choir I want it now!

I think sooner than later. Rolex seems to be a lot more user-friendly lately

This is one area Rolex could improve vastly. They surely know. It'd be best to just say, by model ref. #, available Spring, 2016 or Fall, 2016, etc.

My AD told me today that he may not see the first Daytona until September/October time frame.

I remember the Rolex flagship (Wempe) got their first BLNR in July the year it came out. Took a month for them to get real access to inventory after that. I don't think that timetable is likely to change this season.

When the RG Sky-Dweller was introduced, some Rolex boutiques received some in August but mine was not delivered to my AD until early November.
