When will Basel watches be available?

Anyone know a timeframe? I can't wait to my hands on the new gray blue yachtmaster!

Talked to my ad today. He mentioned that allocation for the states would be after Asia and Europe. He thought September-October.

He also said that despite the high consumption economy here in the states, that Asians, on average, purchased Rolex' exponentially more. Was moderately surprised to hear that.

Well either he's a liar or bad at math, likely the latter.

For the new Daytona, Hodinkee have said end of the summer. I cannot answer for the Yachtmaster but I would imagine a similar release date.

Well what is fact is Asia is the largest market (50%) for Swiss watches in value as reported by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry. Here's the source: http://www.fhs.ch/eng/statistics.html

Of course there's no report by brand alone but the AD may not be entirely wrong either.

I wouldn't doubt it much if the Asian market bought more Rolex than North America at some point. My 2c.

Rolex sells way more watches in HK/China than the USA or anywhere else. Has been like that for some years.

Hi guys! Spoke to my AD in Rome - Italy and told me for the Daytona mid June. Let's hope it will be like that because I'm already on the list for that black & white version.

From my experience when the RG Sky-Dweller was introduced, mine did not come in until early November. Some Botiques received the item late August here in the USA.

I was referring the the notion that rolex sells "exponentially more" in Asia. I suppose outside of mathematics, the term gets thrown around frequently. I'm certainly aware that Asia is the largest market for luxury goods.

Please don't bring mathematics onto this forum Tom, I thought this was a safe haven.
