Usually threads like this are started simply for fun, and to look at pics...good enough reason. This particular thread has opened my eyes to what might be a near term purchase for me...
That blue dial Tudor Pelagos has really caught my attention, and I think I am in shopping mode.
Thanks for everyone participating!

This is exactly the reason I bought a Sub!!!!

although I'd love to say leave the watch at home and don't worry about time...I'm looking forward to taking this new guy on a vacation. We'll, to be truthful I'm just love wearing it all the time.

Laugh if you will, but my go-to on the beach is a Luminox 3001. Super light-weight, great visibility, indestructible, easy to see the time at midnight on a pitch black shore. Mine must be 20 years old at this point, you'd swear it's brand new, only changed the battery 3x.

I wear my Sub Date 24/7 and 100% of the time in the pool, but with all that sand and grime and rocky shoreline I just won't subject the stainless steel to that type of abuse. Ye Navy Seal Watch is a very good pairing with the Sub for those times that the Rolex stays in the hotel room safe and you're playing tackle football on the beach.

I had the same question a few weeks ago. I have various holidays/breaks booked this year and wanted a smart trusty all-rounder companion.

Something to chill on a beach with, snorkel, party, casino, swanky restaurants, dress up, dress down...

My conclusion was to invest in this...
