First sighting of an LV in the wild

There are a lot of Rolex owners in the Dallas area and I'm constantly checking wrists. Black and TT subs, GMTs and datejusts are the ones that I usually see. But I finally saw a LV in the wild this past weekend. I wanted to compliment the guy on his watch, but felt awkward with the idea and he was talking to the sales person as he was paying for his purchase. I still haven't seen a platinum YM in the wild yet.

Hee hee - I think I would have been so excited I just would have interrupted them and looked like a total dork!

On December 2007, I was buying cloth for my baby girl in Houston. The clerk looked at my wrist and congratulated me for my LV. I smiled and congratulated here for having such a good taste

I've seen 2 LV's 'in the wild' here in the Bay area. The green bezel is unmistakable ! I usually don't draw attention to a strangers watch by saying anything.

The head of my TV Department in London was a lucky chap. His ex-girlfriend's father either worked for Rolex or in a jewellers. In any event his "father-in-law" managed to procure him an early LV,with heavy discount when the first appeared. It has the "Oval O" but as he's not a WIS he doesn't know the year indicator.

It's his daily watch and as he wears it loose the following needs attention:
Bezel needs a clean it's very sticky and stiff to turn.
Bracelet is scratched front and back and is displaying signs of stretching.
It runs fast so could also do with regulation.

I tried it on but it just didn't look right after the Sub Date. His is the only one I've seen.

For the first 4 months I've owned my LV I hadn't seen any in the wild. Last month in Boca Raton I saw one in the wild and just yesterday in Montauk Long Island I saw another.

I saw a wild one just a couple of weeks ago at my son's school. It went past me on the wrist of a bloke that looked like he had just got out of bed!
My GMT stayed snug under my sleeve!

I have never seen one either. I saw a GMT IIc when in Salem on vacation and one other Bluesy at my local Wegman's shopping center.
