Datejust 16014 - Dial Question
Hey guys, I am after this birth year Datejust (1985) reference 16014.
It appears to have been nicely restored and in good condition, but the dial raised a question. The black circle around the minute markers is solid with indents at the hours, typically I have only ever seen this style on tapestry dials, never on smooth dials. I am used to seeing tick marks on the seconds and no outline circle on smooth dials. It also looks to be very pristine, maybe relumed? Honestly a relume would not bother me, but a redial would. This is the watch I am after... can anyone tell me if this dial looks normal for a 1985 16014 Datejust? This is what I see 99% of the time, notice the tick marks instead of the solid line: Here, tapestry dials of the same era do contain the solid line: Am I being crazy or is it weird? |

I am new to the forums, can you guys see my images? I noticed if you right click the question mark and open the link in a new window, the imgur image shows up, but they don't show in the post... hm.
Edit: Got it! forgot to add jpg... duh |

First off, welcome aboard.
The watch is a beauty, I think it's original. How much are they asking? |

Comes to be about 3100 USD, which for me is ok since I am after such a specific watch and year, I want to jump on it if it looks original. My concern, aside from the unique minute track, is the fact that the lume looks reallllly white. Which, like I said earlier I am ok with a relume, just not ok with a redial. |
