Icon20 My new old Datejust I 16234 bluedial from 1998

Dear Rolex Forum!

Last weekend I purchased my new (old) Datejust I 16234 in Berlin.
We met at a hip and casual Café called THE BARN Coffee Roasters Berlin for the deal, enjoyed ice-coffee out of jam jars and talked about our favourite topic: Watches. Than we came to the little Datejust and put the little Rolex family on the table
I just love the blue dial, which spreads colors from dark over grey to light blue. The white gold fluted bezel and the jubilee bracelet give it elegance and shine, but not too much because of its small 36mm size.

Now I want to share some pictures of that day with you

(Check my Instagram and Tumblr for more pictures of my 116710LN GMT and my 16234 Datejust. - For those who want to know: My bracelets are from Mitty&Co. and Watchbandits)

Thanks for watching!

All the best,
Chris

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Today I played with the manual mode of my new Sony RX100 for the first time... I need more practice, but isn't the blue dial of my new old Datejust wonderful?

Beautiful DJ. I have that same exact watch purchased in 2005. It was my first Rolex. Still as beautiful today as the day I bought it. Yours is only the 2nd time I have seen it on someone else. Here is mine.

Have had that era DJ and a 911SC but was Targa.
Ah, brings up such warm memories...
Hope you enjoy that DJ.
