Radiomirs are too cool
That's all. Hey are just cool. Yeah, luminors have that crown guard, but look at that sexy cushion case of the Radiomir!

Can't go wrong with that cushion case. I know Panerai is known for that crown guard, but I really like the case dimensions of the Radiomir.

Rather than starting a new thread, I though I'd post to this thread. Every summer, I shake off my desire for a dressy watch and decide I want a Panerai. At first it was a Luminor in a 1950's case, and I preferred the 351 with the gold hands, titanium case, and tobacco dial. Soon after trying on some of the 1950's cases, I decided that the watches sat taller than I preferred, and I was drawn to the forever glorious 233. It's really the perfect Luminor in my eyes, love the case, the 8-day movement, the complications.
But lately, I've had my eyes on something simpler and have been drawn to the Radiomir line. The two I like the most are quite different in the eyes of WIS, and barely discernible to almost everyone else, and those would be the 190 and the 619. Both Radiomirs, 45mm cases, and small seconds. And that's where the similarities end. I prefer the dial color, hands, and movement on the 190, but prefer the case thinness, material, dial layout (with a 9) and 1940's lugs on the 619. Prices on used 190's have come down a lot since I last checked. So I'll pose this question, if you could have an excellent condition 190 that has been recently serviced or a new in box 619 for the same financial layout, which would you choose? I'm favoring a 190 right now, but I haven't tried one on, and the 619 wore like a dream. Pics: |

Having recently owned a 232 my recommendation would be to go with the 190. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

having all 4 numerals on the 619 is pretty sweet, but the wire lugs + classic lume + JLC 8-day movement tip the scales to the 190 for me.

Thanks for the pics everyone, 190 seems like the no-brainer choice here.
