Tudor Snowflake
Hi folks,
I have recently come into this Submariner, It a Tudor 9411/0 Snowflake. I am new to the vintage watch market and need a little advice on what to do with the watch. Obviously there is some damage to the Min hand, everything else is intact. I got the watch from its original owner. There is a rolex/tudor authorized tech in my province. I don’t want to damage its value but I want to repair what should I do? |

Id love to know how the hour hand got mangled.
Was that movement taken out of the case and used as a hockey puck? |

Looking at the lug holes the case actually seems to be never polished. I too wonder what caused the minute hand to snap off...?

Get the minute hand sorted out as best possible and service movement...
Otherwise just wipe it down with a damp cloth and it's all set. NO CASE POLISH or other nonsense |

The insert looks pretty nicely faded. From experience these blue Tudor inserts fade more readily than their Rolex counterparts. The way to tell if it's naturally faded, rather than bleached, is to pop it off and look at the back. If the back is also faded, you know it's been bleached. If the back is the original deep blue, then it's probably a natural fade on the front. However, fakers have been known to protect the back with wax or similar when bleaching, so it's hard to be sure. It's easy to pop off the whole insert/bezel with a credit card or even with your fingernail, but take it to a watchmaker if you don't feel comfortable doing this. And WTH happened to that hour hand? |

The HOUR hand is badly damaged - not only the lume, but the metal frame is bent out of shape, to use a popular expression. Case looks great, dial looks good. Just get a new hand/set.
