I would. I'm not a hulk fan, so I would keep the BLNR.
You don't need anymore justification. Just do it!!

Jeff, I know you flip a lot of watches. Ask yourself this question, do you love the AP like you did the Hulk? I KNOW you love the Hulk. We can talk about it over lunch this coming week.

im in a similar situation right now... i want a AP Offshore and once achieved ill stop buying watches (well i keep telling my self that... denial big time lol!)
ive got 5 Rolex ,Panerai and Omega and the only one i can bring myself to part with is my 116613lb as i bearely ever wear it... problem is i know ill loose too much money on a trade, i can get a great deal on a second hand safari trading in my LB but i cant bring myself to loose the $$ and would rather just buy one outright but its a big outlay for a single piece.
My other apprehension has been if and when i go back to Australia they dont have a AP service center there so id have to send it to the closest point which is Singapore... not comfortable sending watched O/S

The AP has become a bit like a Ferrari to me.. yes i could buy one if i really wanted but can i justify the costs of ongoing maintenance when my Rolex's are more like a BMW/Mercedes ////M or AMG still awesome (not a Ferrari) but more sensible

why couldnt i just get a Timex and be happy with it? lol!!!

Well... I might be a little biased, as I am very interested in that BLNR, but I think it's a good deal. I've long been interested in the Royal Oak as well, but I still think I have a few more Rolex models to try for a bit - the BLNR and the 116613LB namely :D

Thanks for all the input guys! The majority seem to agree with what I want to do, so that makes me feel much better!

I just got a Heuer Autavia in yesterday, so the main rotation would be the Hulk, 15400 and the Heuer.

I believe I will go after it!

I do love the Hulk, it won't leave, but the 15400 has been my grail since I started collecting, just haven't had the funds to go after it until now!

if you are ok with wearing such a fine watch and won't mind it getting marked up - then yes I'd do it. I never got comfy wearing my 15202 so off it went.

Absolutely I would do it- in fact I did. I used to have 6 or so watches but have consolidated down into a daily Rolex Sub and a 15400 in white.

I felt like I needed the Sub (as much as one needs a trinket anyways), but I wanted the AP.
