Who got already bored of the new steel DaytonaC
Hi everyone,
Just wondering, who's getting already bored of seeing the new Daytona 116500LN after seeing it either through pictures or in real-life. Who still thinking that the previous SS is still better than the new SS? |

Speaking frankly here. It hasn't gotten me more excited about it after seeing numerous wrist shots. Perhaps that will change when I see one in real life. But it hasn't made me want it more. Happy just putting on my classic SS black dial (purchased after Ceramic version announced) and forgetting about the Ceramic.

With a price range of US$17-18K from HK grey dealers. I have moved on to an AP ROO 26470 instead. Now just can't stop admiring this beauty.
As for Daytona-C, maybe in a few years when it costs =< MSRP, I will consider getting one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What new Daytona all I see is a old Daytona with a push on ceramic bezel and slightly different dials.Although not a huge fan of the modern Daytona now when they launched it back in 2000 with the cal 4130. If they had put a aluminum insert like on the Daytona 6263 IMHO it would have been a far nicer looking watch and no need for crazy priced ceramic..

I tried a ceramic Sub LV but it didn't stay with me for that long.
I prefer solid metal over something that looks a bit like plastic. |

I'm definitely not bored of it. Would love to get one one day when the dust settles.
I'm especially not bored of since the black dial has made since a "comeback" impression on me since there's been so many incoming pictures. Originally I felt like Rolex released a monster in the white dial! The black wasn't even a consideration to me, but now that I see it I'm really starting to like it and consider it too. Just one of many reasons why this new reference is still exciting IMO. |

Absolutely love it and for me blows 116520 away. The black bezel completely changes the look of the watch. Anyone lucky enough to own one or get one will completely understand. Like anything else new there will always be haters out there.

I am with you padi, the much earlier Daytonas were a far nicer looking watch compared to the last two offerings.

Not bored of seeing pictures of it all. Black dial, white dial it's a beautiful watch. IMO the ceramic bezel gives the watch a great new look. Like it or not it's here to stay. I'm just as happy for those who get the call for this as I am a PM watch, DSSD Blue or Explorer. Wear it and enjoy it

Not bored at all! The 116500 is my favorite Daytona yet (along with the 116506 but that's a whole other story).

Agree that it's a facelift. What woulda, coulda, shoulda been done might fill all the space on Steve's forum server... But also agree with Ken - that black dial/bezel combo is looking fine. For the OP - the tiredness is mostly among those on queue awaiting the opportunity to trade money for their Daytona 500.

Although it's a nice watch, Daytonas have never been on my desire list. That may change one day.

I still like the looks of the new one. Heck....I am itching to just get a Daytona...to me they are all worth owning whether the ceramic bezel, steel bezel, Zenith steel bezel or the Oldies. A Daytona is a Daytona regardless of the iteration.

Bored and inpatient.
Could not find one, could not get one, too much exclusivity crap like my $13k is less valuable than another person's $13k. I just got an IWC 377709. Couldn't be happier.

Let me guess...you own the previous version? Threads make me laugh where people are trying to round up opinions, when they are really simply trying to convince themselves...

Maybe a little bored but not so bored to make a poll about how bored I am bored. That being said I did get a little more bored of the Daytona C after reading this thread. Or maybe I just didn't realize how bored I was until reading this thread. I was a little less bored to learn that the guy sitting next to Beyoncé at the basketball game had one. For just a second but then there was another incoming and Ii got a little bored again.

Certainly not bored, it's provided a great deal of entertainment over the last few months and judging by the waiting lists around the world it's going to be the watch that keeps on giving for some time and if you are not number 1 on the list, several years

I prefer the ceramic to the SS bezel for sure, and I think it deserves all the attention it is getting on the forum and will do for the rest of the summer as it was long wished for and yet a surprise release. For me the panda dials would have been the icing on the cake, I've found I am not as drawn to the aesthetic of subdial rings.
