New BLNR, date changes a few minutes after midnight. Normal?
Is it supposed to be this way? Sometimes it changes after a few minutes, other times after 10-12 minutes.

Mine is usually about 7 minutes after unless I am active at the time and then a little earlier. All is good and normal, enjoy that great watch.

That's normal. Every day is 24h long. After that we are in the next day, so the number of the day is incremented by one. Every around 30 days, this number is back to one, and the month is incremented ... and so on. It's what we call a calendar. |

Wondering if there is a published spec for when it should change. I had an omega that changed way too early and somewhere I came across that the spec was something like +/- 2 minutes. They replaced the watch and new one the date changed right at midnight

Rolex spec is that the watch should change within a few minutes of midnight. So all is fine. My SD4000 seems to change around 1205, not that I have checked very often.
My new Day-Date40 changed up to 90 minutes late; that really was a fault. I got the money back and some of it went on the SD4000, which I like a lot. Funny old world. |

Normal. Just go to bed earlier and you'll never notice.
