FS: Rolex GMT 6542 ca. 1959
This is a particularly unusual and valuable watch, the GMT-Master Reference 6542.
Signed Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, GMT-Master, ref. 6542, case no. 492.900 Cal. 1066 25 jewels, date aperture at 3.very nice tonneau water-resistant-type case with great lugs well used Mercedes-style hands, central hand for the second time zone, center seconds, very nice rotating blue and red metal bezel calibrated for 24 hours, screw-down crown, screw back & movement signed, with stainless steel Rolex folded link (7836) Oyster bracelet with big crown deployment clasp 6251H/280/1.69 which was changed along the years - will fit 7 inch wrist. Refinished Dial I assume dial was damaged with moisture and it was badly refinished possibly by a "blind" - dial refinisher The hands are tired and the dot of the seconds hand possibly repainted, also GMT hand possibly with repainted point. If you want to refinish the dial and hands the vintage people can help you - it is next to impossible to find a new old stock http://vintagewatchesmq.com/minhquy/...emart&Itemid=1 All in all for a 56 years old super collectible used Rolex (?).... looks pretty good Comes with old service box Price is a very reasonable $9,500 - this watch will only go up in value Free Shipping within USA - Or your label if you are in foreign country - you write the customs declaration as if you were here and send it to yourself Pay me via bank wire transfer - Chase, BB&T or TD Bank I am in south Florida Anastasios [email protected] |
