They're both great. I'd take a white dial Exp2, if I didn't already have my white Daytona. I'd probably take the Explorer 1 now. I have a tiny wrist, so size isn't an issue.

What exactly are we comparing here? The Explorer 2 is a 40mm watch with a date and a GMT hand.

Are you trying to compare a 114270 36mm Explorer 1 versusa 214270 39mm Explorer 2?

16570 because of the case size. The decision would be tougher if comparing it to the 39mm ex I

I prefer the extra time functionality of the Exp2.

I really like the exp1 and am looking forward to owning one soon. BUT if it was my only watch I would take the exp2, GMT or Sub date for the date function.

Explorer 1

The Explorer 1. The EP2 bezel worries me in terms of being hard to refinish, although I like the EXP2.

If I would of spent the extra over the Explorer 1 in my opinion a S/S Submariner or GMT Master 2 would be better.
