AD stamped dated. No purchaser name

Hi guys. As you know I recently got a pre owned Explorer from Watchfinder in the UK. A 2014 model it qualifies for the 3 year extended warranty from two years initially.

I noticed on the warranty card it is AD dealer stamped, origin Greece from the 2nd October 2014. However, no name of the original purchaser is on there. Should this effect my warranty in the future?

The watch is at the RSC now as I said it is running slow. (it isn't just wanted a free check) When I booked it in I mentioned the warranty and she said it could be checked under warranty.

So it appears if the original purchaser does not write their name on the card the warranty is still valid?

Everywhere in the world except the NYC RSC. Glad it worked out for you.

In the booklet it does say the card should be completed in full to be valid.

HOWEVER, I rang St James Square, London RSC. They said it is the date and dealer stamp they are concerned with and the warranty is ok.

It will be ready to be picked up free of charge on Monday as the RSC is doing final checks now.

I have never had my name on a card in over 22 years. Just the date. I never asked and they never offered. Has not been a problem for me.

I was told by a trusted seller here on TRF that if its blank to just fill it out if you ever have to send it in for warranty work.

For what it's worth, a salesman's advice should rarely be taken as canon.

This trusted seller sells more watch than most Ad's and knows more IMO than a AD! YMMV

It's not like they have a financial stake in your purchase or anything...
