Genuine Datejust 16014?
Hey guys, i have the opportunity to buy a rolex datejust 16014 with 5 million-serial number and fullset (box, tag, certificate and manuals). Since this is my first Rolex i am a little unsure about the authenticity of this watch.
One thing that makes me a little concerned is that i have not yet found a datejust with this exact dial, especially the small little circle on the outside of the dial just above the index. Is it possible to see if this is real or fake from these pictures? Thanks for your help! http://imgur.com/a/gxktG |

Unfortunately the photos are too far away which make it hard to see detail. We need clear pictures of the dial from straight on, close up. Pics of the back of the case, pics between the lugs, pics of inside the case back and of the movement in order to make a determination. Also, does the serial number between the lugs match the serial number on the certificate?

Can not tell much, if anything from those photos - cyclops looks weak.
Minimum is to see of the papers tie up with the serial number between the lug as 6 oclock, also a photo of between the lug at 12 o'clock Decent photo of dial and clasp. I do not know what this means "small little circle on the outside of the dial just above the index. " sorry adam

That dial is indeed genuine; I have one like it... nothing stands out as blatantly fake... 5 million would make it a 14k bezel... band wear looks normal for the age.

Looks fine from here (you can click to zoom in on the pics), although it's obviously got some mileage on it.

Unfortunately I don't have any other pictures, and it wasn't the lume plots that was my concern. But I have still not found a datejust with this exact dial, with the thin black circle on the outside (seconds markings)

I've enlarged one of these photos 100% X 4 and the only circles I can see anywhere on or near the seconds track are the lume plots at the outer end of the baton markers.

I think OP is referring to the circular border which is drawn outside the indexes.
