DayDate 36 Movement Issues?

I've been reading several threads about the new DD 40 and the issue of the date changeover. In particular the thread yesterday. Given I've been thinking of one of these for a Grail purchase this definitely has given me pause to reconsider the 36mm instead. The 40 looks much more substantial and the bracelet design is second to none. But given the 118238 has been in production for much longer it does not seem to have any known problems I've read about.

Does anyone have any particular knowledge if the date changeover is only with the 228238 or is the 118238 experiencing the same issue?

I believe it is on the 3255 movement only. I have two 3155 powered DDs and both snap over at the stroke of midnight.....like butta.

As far as a know its only the ones with the so called new cal 3255, the 3155 in the 118238 is still basically a 3135 with the added day complication.

Myself I would not worry it's under warranty and Rolex know how to fix it. It seems to show up pretty quick if it's a problem.
