Can't be sure about these newer watches, however, Sub and GMT dials sit at different levels in their relative cases (different waterproof depths), so what we could be seeing is a little bit of an optical illusion.
BUT I do know that definitely on the 5 digit models SS Sports models : Explorer, Explorer II, GMT, Sub (2 & 4 liner), Sub Date, Sea Dweller and maybe YMs (SS) - all shared the same hands.
When I needed to source some 'Explorer Hands' more than one trusted seller on this site with 'ROLEX' spare parts accounts, advised me to order the 16610 handset - and that's what I got, after confirming with ROLEX UK.
