USA invades Canada

Just in case you missed this one. Yesterday was a busy day for the Canadian Coast Guard, local police and the border services.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windso...hore-1.3730792

You know two countries have a pretty decent relationship when an unintentional drunken invasion, spearheaded by folks in a panic over the possible repercussions of their incursion, are met by a reaction of "Relax dudes, just get in the bus and we'll get you home in time for supper..."

At least they saved the cooler!
Everything is going to be all right!

A bunch of US citizens running to Canada? Is the election over already?

and also a Canadian was caught trying to cross the boarder with over 70 kilos of Zanex. Like 1.6 million dollars worth. Trip a sensor trying to cross somehow.

We have the same problem with folks from the middle east who just float off from Indonesia and end up on the top end (of Australia). Difference is they don't want to go home.

If the situation is reversed, there will be a lot of Canadians in US jails.

I think Jon Stewart said recently that the U.S. is Canada's "Mexico".

"We should build a wall, eh?"

Having spent time on Vancouver Island this summer, I would gladly retreat to the moss forested woods and pristine beaches until the schitzophrenia going on in the US resolves. I'm not holding my breath. Tofino, BC. Heaven on Earth.
