Explorer 2 Question
I have a m serial white face explorer 2 that I just got and I was curious to know what all of the parts on the face including the black hands and the face itself are made from. What type of materials. I have tried to search online for the answer but couldn't find anything. I hope TRF can help.
Thanks Dave |

Hands and indicies are black painted white gold. The dial is enamel on a brass plate, and of course tritium or luminova to make things bright. Someone said once that white dials are painted, but I am confident that it is enamel.
Take a 10x loupe an look closely. You will se that the hour and minute hand are only painted on the front side. Best, A |

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on the Exp II! The dial is made of brass, and the hands and surrounds are made of painted white gold.
