FS: Vintage Rolex Submariner 5512 W/ Original Box, Books, and Anchor

Up for sale is this Vintage Rolex Submariner 5512 in Excellent Condition for its age. It was a 1 owner watch. The serial number is 3,332,586. The model and serial numbers are well worn at the lugs, due to the end pieces rubbing against them, but the bottom half is still visible. We tried to get them to show in the pictures, but it was difficult. The watch was serviced in the 80's by Rolex, as you can see on the case back. They inscribed the serial number on the clasp of the bracelet, which they did so that the right band stayed with the right case. It is very faint, but still there. We were able to match up the numbers, so we know this bracelet is original to the watch.

The case is in good condition, it has been polished, but not to excess. There are marks, but nothing that is deep. The bezel insert has some light marks, but is in great shape and appears to be original, due to the patina on the lume dot matching the dial and hands. The dial is near perfect. The patina matches very well and is a nice color. The hands are in good shape with some corrosion, but it's fairly light. The crystal has a few marks around the edges, but it is in great shape overall.

The bracelet has been well worn and it could be rebuilt if so desired. It is in decent shape for its age. It could be worn, but I also included a new leather strap as an alternative if you want to avoid any wear and tear.

Other than the Rolex factory service, I do not know the service history of this piece. It is in proper working order and was within 8 seconds. The movement looks nice and clean. It is a great example!

It comes with everything pictured. It does not have the chronometer certificate, but everything else is there. Sometimes, dealers actually kept the papers in that era. You will not be disappointed in this piece!
