I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date is it REAL?

please help me
my grandmothers brother he is 86 years old and he gave me his watch that he bought when he got married the second time i think at age 30 or so....
i will attach this photos for u guys to try and help me
there are no papers and no box
just the watch
please help me
is it real?
and if it is how much is it worth?

Looks good here too. You will need to pop off the bracelet so that you can get the model number and serial number that are engraved between the lugs. It looks like a model 1500, possibly late 70s or early 80s in age. A nice entry level Rolex. Verify those numbers between the lugs and we can advise you of an approximate current market value.

STAINLESS STEEL 5400740
on one side
And the other
Registered Design 1500
