Acrylic vs Saphire on Datejust

For the 80's what years did they make acrylic and what years did they make saphire? Hope my spelling is ok. Thank you.

My 1984 booklet says the 18-carat gold Datejust for men has a sapphire crystal and the other models have a special plastic (probably acrylic).

I don't know if you are looking for information on a specific model or just general information.

In either case, a TRF expert will probably be with you shortly.

More specific info.

Does the 1986 two-tone datejust originally come in sapphire?
