See what a fantastically generous Company we work for: my sentiments exactly when we can afford anything we want, courtesy of our annual bonuses

How do you think I afford my new jewel encrusted GMT?

Adrian, it is axiomatic that everyone can be bought. It's merely a matter of determining your price point. Some people come cheap. The rest of us just have higher prices.

I'd go simple and go for a good 'ole 16610.

When you look at the conditions Ed, he's only letting you wear his watch. No it's not for me.

Come on, Adrian...I mean it is brand new after all....and all he's saying is you NEVER sell it....fair enough, I guess, considering that it's a gift.

Now if JJ Irani were to give you a free Rolex, would you ever even dream of selling it?

I see JJ looking for a loophole on the flipping.
Sorry JJ, giving away a watch, then acquiring a new is still a flip. Not a good deal, but still a flip.

John,

If and when I am rich enough to give away a watch as a gift to a friend I love, rest assured it will be a brand new one!!!

Interesting (and flattering) that both my sons wanted my "old" watches (none particularly old, and after an RSC service, which I insisted on) rather than the brand new equivalents originally offered. So perhaps they don't need to be new, as long as you know the friend really well

Hi JJ,
Is this "man" David M.?

In case it's David we know why he made you an offer and with those 2 conditions...

You WILL NEVER comply with it...You are going to be always a flipper and you WILL ALSO think that you did not choose the right one.

I'd say white SS Daytona. I like it, it's something I'd hang on to, but I can't justify spending the asking price, so if someone offered to buy it for me, I'd be chuffed.
