Service Question - Canada
I bought my wife a "new" watch from a trusted seller on this forum.
I bought it in July 2014, but the warranty card was stamped 2011. Yesterday the little gold roman "X" (#10 on the clock) fell off and has jammed itself between the two arms. I can only assume that the watch is out of warranty, which I understand, no problem. I am just wondering if I am best to take it to a Rolex Service center, or elsewhere? I live relatively close to Toronto, and it is convenient. Thanks very much. |

Hey Bettingthebear, I would take it straight to RSC Toronto on St. Clair (50 St. Clair Avenue West) just in case. Might as well get it repaired properly and not worry of it happening again.
You never know, they might fix it for free :)

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking.
I will call them later today to see if I need to make an appt or anything. Thanks |

I agree. I would also take it to RSC. A number of years ago I brought in a Tudor Day Date to get serviced and they were super helpful. They actually did the work free of charge even though the watch was 6 months past warranty.
There was also the option of picking it up in person or having them ship it back to me. So you may want to ask about that. It may save you a return trip to Toronto.

I called, and no appointment necessary. We're going to take it tomorrow and stay the night in Toronto. If they can have it ready, great, if not, I will go the ship route.
Thanks for the help. |

I would be very surprised if they did not insist on a full service

Keep us posted! They've done quick repairs while I waited before, both in toronto and Beverly Hills RSC.

Keep us posted on how they treat you. I'm sure I'll have to use RSC Toronto someday.

If it jammed the works of your watch a complete overhaul would be in order.
i would notify your trusted seller and see what they have to say about the matter. RSC Toronto will be happy to service i'm sure, just don't expect the work to be complimentary though. |

It might be due for a full service anyways but regardless, RSC in Toronto is great to deal with

Have had great experience with RSC. Even if you have to spring for a full service, you are close to the interval and you will get back a brand new looking watch with 2 years warranty.
