Glashutte Original Panomatic Lunar in Silver Dial
I am about to pull the trigger on this watch. The lowest price available is at USD 7,268. Is there a better watch out there I should also consider? Thanks so much.

It's a very nice watch for sure, about better watches don't know but that price point gives you, IMO, a lot of possibilities, I think PJ will join and give you some, he is the best at proposing watches you usually don't think of...

If you are talking about BNIB on a leather strap, then the price is good based on my experience. I inquired about this watch at an AD and received a higher quote. Also, I looked at gray dealers such as Watchmaxx.

Price is good. You may want to check out this thread that I created
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...master+control Frankly, I am confused by your line of questioning on GOs (I am referring also on your other thread). What is the definition of a "better" watch? There are other moonphases watches with in-house movements out there at various price point. The JLC is a direct competitor in terms of price-point and complications, but there are others as well (Zenith has a nice one for instance) The PanoMaticLunar is a fine timepieces, it has a beautifully executed grand date with a nicely decorated movement (especially given the price point). |
